Giving something back

Years ago, a young idealistic Mark Fernandes really wanted to do good in the world. Perhaps years of watching Knight Rider and Superman cartoons caused a short circuit in his brain, no-one really knows. Sandferne Solutions Ltd is not a large company, Apple, IBM and Microsoft are not quaking in their boots that we might take them over. Nevertheless, an idea was formed that if we gave a small percentage of our profits to worthy causes it might make the world ever-so-slightly better. If our contribution helps a charity even just a bit then it's worth doing.

With that in mind, at the end of every financial year (April) we donate a percentage of our profits to a select few charities.

The following charities are close to our hearts for a number of reasons and will (assuming a profit is made) be receiving an online contribution:

Make A Wish foundation

This charity grants wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses. Wishes can be anything from meeting a celebrity to being a princess for the day.

Provides support for cancer sufferers and their family as well as researching a cure.
